Medicare Part A Cost 2025
Changes for Medicare Part A Cost in 2025 include:
- Part A premium
- For individuals with 40 or more quarters of Medicare-covered employment: $0 per month ($0 in 2024)
- For individuals with 30-39 quarters of Medicare-covered employment: $285 per month ($278 in 2024)
- For individuals with less than 30 quarters of Medicare-covered employment: $518 per month ($505 in 2024)
- Hospital Inpatient Stay
- Deductible for days 1-60 of each benefit period: $1,676 (1,632 in 2024)
- Copayment per day for days 1-60: $0 ($0 in 2024)
- Copayment per day for days 61-90: $419 ($408 in 2024)
- Copayment per day for days 91-150: $838 per lifetime reserved day ($816 in 2024)
- Days 151 and beyond: all costs.
- Skilled Nursing Facility Stay
- $0 for the first 20 days ($0 in 2024)
- $209.50 per day for days 21-100 ($204 in 2024)
- Days 101 and beyond: all costs (all costs in 2024).

Medicare Part B Premium and Cost 2025
Changes for Medicare Part B Premium and Cost in 2025 include:
- Part B annual deductible:
- $257 ($240 in 2024)
- Part B premium
- In 2025, the standard Part B premium amount will be $185.00 (or higher depending on your income) ($174.70 in 2024)
- Part B premium for higher income based on your yearly income in 2023 (for what you pay in 2025):
- If modified adjusted gross income is $106,000 or less for individual tax returns or $212,000 or less for joint tax returns: $185 per month
- If modified adjusted gross income is $106,001 up to $133,000 for individual tax returns or $212,001 up to $266,000 for joint tax returns: $259 per month
- If modified adjusted gross income is $133,001 up to $167,000 for individual tax returns or $266,001 up to $334,000 for joint tax returns: $370 per month
- If modified adjusted gross income is $167,001 up to $200,000 for individual tax returns or $334,001 up to $400,000 for joint tax returns: $480.90 per month
- If modified adjusted gross income is above $200,001 and less than $500,000 for individual tax returns or above $400,001 and less than $750,000 for joint tax returns: $591.90 per month
- If modified adjusted gross income is equal/above $500,000 for individual tax returns or equal/above $750,000 for joint tax returns: $628.90 per month

Medicare Part D Cost 2025
Changes for Medicare Part D Cost in 2025 for include:
- Yearly Deductible
- You are responsible for the first $590 of drug costs ($545 in 2024)
- Initial Coverage Limit (ICL)
- Beginning with plan year 2025, the ICL is eliminated
- Coverage Gap
- Beginning with plan year 2025, the Coverage Gap phase is eliminated. The Catastrophic Coverage phase begins when Total Out-of-Pocket costs exceeds $2,000.
- Catastrophic Coverage
- Catastrophic Coverage stage of the Medicare Part D coverage is eliminated. That means you won’t have to pay out-of-pocket for covered Part D drugs for the rest of the calendar year.
- Low Income Subsidy (LIS)
- Maximum copayment for people qualified for LIS programs is $4.90 for generic or preferred drugs ($4.50 in 2024) or $12.15 for brand name drugs ($11.20 in 2024).

Medicare Part D premium in 2025 is based on your filing status and yearly income in 2023 as follows:
- If modified adjusted gross income is $106,000 or less for individual tax returns or $212,000 or less for joint tax returns: You pay your plan premium
- If modified adjusted gross income is $106,001 up to $133,000 for individual tax returns or $212,001 up to $266,000 for joint tax returns: You pay your plan premium + $13.70
- If modified adjusted gross income is $133,001 up to $167,000 for individual tax returns or $266,001 up to $334,000 for joint tax returns: You pay your plan premium + $35.30
- If modified adjusted gross income is $167,001 up to $200,000 for individual tax returns or $334,001 up to $400,000 for joint tax returns: You pay your plan premium + $57.00
- If modified adjusted gross income is above $200,001 and less than $500,000 for individual tax returns or above $400,001 and less than $750,000 for joint tax returns: You pay your plan premium + $78.60
- If modified adjusted gross income is equal/above $500,000 for individual tax returns or equal/above $750,000 for joint tax returns: You pay your plan premium + $85.80
