Medicare Part A Cost 2026
Changes for Medicare Part A Cost in 2026 include:
- Part A premium
- For individuals with 40 or more quarters of Medicare-covered employment: $0 per month ($0 in 2025)
- For individuals with 30-39 quarters of Medicare-covered employment: $311 per month ($285 in 2025)
- For individuals with less than 30 quarters of Medicare-covered employment: $565 per month ($518 in 2025)
- Hospital Inpatient Stay
- Deductible for days 1-60 of each benefit period: $1,736 ($1,676 in 2025)
- Copayment per day for days 1-60: $0 ($0 in 2025)
- Copayment per day for days 61-90: $434 ($419 in 2025)
- Copayment per day for days 91-150: $868 per lifetime reserved day ($838 in 2025)
- Days 151 and beyond: all costs.
- Skilled Nursing Facility Stay
- $0 for the first 20 days ($0 in 2025)
- $217 per day for days 21-100 ($209.50 in 2025)
- Days 101 and beyond: all costs.

Medicare Part B Premium and Cost 2026
Changes for Medicare Part B Premium and Cost in 2026 include:
- Part B annual deductible:
- $283 ($257 in 2025)
- Part B premium
- In 2025, the standard Part B premium amount will be $202.90 (or higher, depending on your income) ($185 in 2025)
- Part B premium for higher income based on your yearly income in 2024 (for what you pay in 2026):
- If modified adjusted gross income is $109,000 or less for individual tax returns or $218,000 or less for joint tax returns: $202.90 per month
- If modified adjusted gross income is $109,001 up to $137,000 for individual tax returns or $218,001 up to $274,000 for joint tax returns: $284.10 per month
- If modified adjusted gross income is $137,001 up to $171,000 for individual tax returns or $274,001 up to $342,000 for joint tax returns: $405.80 per month
- If modified adjusted gross income is $171,001 up to $205,000 for individual tax returns or $342,001 up to $410,000 for joint tax returns: $527.50 per month
- If modified adjusted gross income is above $205,001 and less than $500,000 for individual tax returns or above $410,001 and less than $750,000 for joint tax returns: $649.20 per month
- If modified adjusted gross income is equal/above $500,000 for individual tax returns or equal/above $750,000 for joint tax returns: $689.90 per month

Medicare Part D Cost 2026
Changes for Medicare Part D Cost in 2026 include:
- Yearly Deductible
- You are responsible for the first $615 of drug costs ($590 in 2025). This is the maximum deductible; some plans may have a lower deductible or no deductible at all.
- Initial Coverage Limit (ICL)
- Beginning with plan year 2025, the ICL is eliminated
- Coverage Gap
- Beginning with plan year 2025, the Coverage Gap phase is eliminated.
- Catastrophic Coverage
- In 2026, the Catastrophic Coverage phase begins when Total Out-of-Pocket costs exceed $2,100. That means you won’t have to pay out-of-pocket for covered Part D drugs for the rest of the calendar year.
- Low Income Subsidy (LIS)
- Maximum copayment for people qualified for LIS programs is $5.10 for generic or preferred drugs ($4.90 in 2025) or $12.65 for brand-name drugs ($12.15 in 2025).

Medicare Part D premium in 2026 is based on your filing status and yearly income in 2024 as follows:
- If modified adjusted gross income is $109,000 or less for individual tax returns or $218,000 or less for joint tax returns: You pay your plan premium
- If modified adjusted gross income is $109,001 up to $137,000 for individual tax returns or $218,001 up to $274,000 for joint tax returns: You pay your plan premium + $14.50
- If modified adjusted gross income is $137,001 up to $171,000 for individual tax returns or $274,001 up to $342,000 for joint tax returns: You pay your plan premium + $37.50
- If modified adjusted gross income is $171,001 up to $205,000 for individual tax returns or $342,001 up to $410,000 for joint tax returns: You pay your plan premium + $60.40
- If modified adjusted gross income is above $205,001 and less than $500,000 for individual tax returns or above $410,001 and less than $750,000 for joint tax returns: You pay your plan premium + $83.30
- If modified adjusted gross income is equal/above $500,000 for individual tax returns or equal/above $750,000 for joint tax returns: You pay your plan premium + $91.00
